Welcome to the CBA Home Page. Here you will find lots of information about the game of bridge in Connecticut. The CBA sponsors tournaments in Connecticut sanctioned by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL).

Calendar  

2012 Calendar is in work along with our lovely new web site.  We expect both to be available shortly.

In February the Knockout Regional in Cromwell, CT from February 14 to the 20th.

January events have ended and results are available.
The Keohane Individual Regional results in Newton, MA from January 6 to 8.

Then the New York regional results .

The Grand National Teams Qualifier results at Sturbridge on the weekend of January 20-22

Connecticut Sectionals for 2012

Save these dates for our sectionals:

  • Hamden March 2 through 4
  • Also in Hamden May 18 through 20
  • Greenwich from August 17 through 19
  • Hartford October 5 to 7.  Followed by the 199er sectional not yet sanctioned.
  • the last sectional of the year will be in Hamden from November 2 to 4

Monroe Magnus Trophy 2011 Results

The Connecticut Bridge Association provides the Monroe Magnus trophy to the person totaling the greatest number of masterpoints at the Connecticut sectionals held in the calendar year. The leader after the two sectionals is  Rich DeMartino.

Unit-Wide and Sectional Game Results

Unit-wide and Sectional results will be published here through the calendar, in the Kibitzer, AND on the ACBL site.  On the ACBL site, the link is through the 'club game results' item at the bottom of the menu on the home page. The city to indicate is 'Norwalk'.   Also, several clubs have opted to use the ACBL 'club game results', so check with the director.

Note: The Unit 126, CBA, Board of Delegates, reaffirmed the policy that the person or persons that duplicate hands used in Unit events; i.e. Sectionals, STaCs, and Unit-wide events, CAN NOT play in that game.
